About us
Situated on Half Mile Road in West Delray Beach, Florida, Paradise Palms Botanical & Sculpture Gardens offers a unique outdoor experience of nature and art, where visitors can stroll through acres of beautifully designed and maintained gardens, groves, and micro-forests containing a significant range of rare and beautiful plants and trees, including one of the most extensive palm tree collections in the United States.
This garden has been an ongoing project since 2013. Currently, it is comprised of two sections, a 10-acre garden open to the public by appointment only, and a contiguous 10-acre privately owned garden available by guided tour upon request.
Paradise Palms Botanical & Sculpture Gardens, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) registered non profit organization.
The Gardens
By touring the combined 20 acres, visitors can see over 2500 palm trees in their natural environments, including hundreds of other distinct species from every corner of the world. Of particular interest is a half-acre “open-air” conservatory of rare and beautiful shade palms from Southeast Asia, Madagascar, and the Americas, in an artificially created rainforest, beneath an immense Ficus tree. This unique environment is controlled by a complex mister system.
Distinguishing Features
In addition to the remarkable and rare collection of palm trees, visitors will discover an Asian-themed Zen garden… a yoga platform hidden in a small bamboo forest… a Tiki Hut… a miniature village for kids… ponds… bridges… a butterfly garden… and a “mini mountain,” lush with trees, plants, and succulents that thrive in well-drained, desert-like conditions. And, along every path running through the entire property, modern and contemporary outdoor sculptures from all around the world.
The Sculptures
Along the garden pathways you’ll notice the growing collection of modern and contemporary outdoor sculptures. These sculptures represent artists from all over the world and were collected by Paradise Palms founder, local author and entrepreneur, Mark Ford. He has met many of these artists while traveling with his wife, Kathy. Other sculptures were specifically commissioned for Paradise Palms Botanical & Sculpture Gardens.
Among the garden artists you’ll encounter, Ferenc Varga, Hunter Brown, Chris Guarino, Armando Blanco, Frank Varga, Pablo Seminario.
